The conference intends to lift the cover off such contributions, and introduces the Omani efforts in the service of the Qur’an; its teaching and interpretation, translation of its meanings, its compilation in masahif, and the study of its recitations, tajwid and sciences.
This topic seeks to highlight the Omani contribution in this aspect, and study the Omani literature in interpretation and translation of the meanings of the Qur’an, recitations, Tajweed, the Qur’anic sciences in general, and its scattered chapters in books and manuscripts
It discusses the history of the Holy Quran and its writing by Omanis through the ages, Noble Qur’an diacritics and orthography, and terms and symbols of the Noble Qur’an manuscripts and their technical and aesthetic characteristics
It reviews the history of teaching the Qur’an in Oman, the methods used by Omanis, traditions of Omani Qur’an schools, their various endowments, the related literature and jurisprudential rulings, and the Omani literature in this regard
